Sail Tahiti Strengthens Its International Presence with Sail Pacific and NAOS Yachts
Sail Tahiti is taking a new step in its international development by partnering with NAOS Yachts and James Lee to create Sail Pacific, the new Excess Catamarans dealership in California.
This initiative marks an important milestone for the Excess brand on the U.S. West Coast and brings together three complementary areas of expertise:
- NAOS Yachts, providing deep knowledge of the American market along with a secure legal and commercial framework for U.S. buyers
- James Lee, a respected figure in the California sailing community who has trained hundreds of sailors, serves as Commodore of the Redondo Beach Yacht Club, and personally sails an Excess
- Sail Tahiti, contributing its expertise in offshore sailing and the unique cruising grounds of French Polynesia—one of the dream destinations for many catamaran owners
This collaboration aims to support American sailors in discovering the world of Excess catamarans while creating a true bridge between California and the great sailing adventures of the Pacific.
A Momentum Already Underway
Several concrete initiatives have already taken shape:
- The official creation of the Excess California dealership: Sail Pacific
- A successful first charter week for Californian clients aboard an Excess 11, with James Lee serving as skipper and coach
- A flotilla sailing experience planned for September, offering an ideal opportunity for those interested in discovering whether life on a boat suits them before committing to a purchase
Meet Us at the Newport Beach International Boat Show
This new momentum will also be showcased at the Newport Beach International Boat Show, where Sail Pacific and Sail Tahiti will appear together to present this new vision of yachting and connect with sailors from across the West Coast.
For Sail Tahiti, this partnership also represents a strategic step in strengthening its international presence while continuing to highlight the unique sailing experience offered by French Polynesia.
In the longer term, the collaboration could also open the door to new developments in supporting yacht buyers—whether sailing yachts, catamarans, or motor yachts—by combining local expertise with an international network.
As David Allouch of Sail Tahiti explains:
[/fusion_text][/fusion_builder_column][/fusion_builder_row][/fusion_builder_container]“This collaboration creates a natural bridge between California and Polynesia. It allows sailors to experience the sensations of Excess catamarans while envisioning longer voyages, all the way to the exceptional waters of the Pacific.”
