The Vulcain, built by Chantier Brument in France and designed by Caroff is a classic small cruising boat: extremely solid, easy to handle short-handed and with a really roomy interior for its size. There is a central cockpit, a nicely sized double aft cabin, single bunk for guests, functional galley and a large saloon forward that can also serve as a double bed. It’s rare to find a boat of this size that’s both very seaworthy and so well thought out for life on board.
Hent Eon had a full refit (2015/2016) before sailing from France to French Polynesia. The hull was stripped down and reprimed and painted, the insulation redone, the rigging changed, and the electronics modernised. Her current owners have imported her and changed the sails and batteries as well as the inverter, onboard computer and dingy and outboard. The Vetus engine has only 1120h.
The interior is light and clean. This is a boat that’s ideal for a small family looking for adventure or a simple liveaboard in Tahiti.
