The Outremer Spirit

For more than forty years, Outremer Yachting—founded in La Grande-Motte in 1984—has followed a clear and demanding philosophy: to design catamarans that sail before they impress, that cross oceans before decorating marinas, and that place freedom, reliability, and performance at the heart of every detail.
Outremers are built as true long-distance companions. This philosophy has forged Outremer’s unique reputation among bluewater sailors and serious long-range cruisers.

The Outremer 51 concept

The Outremer 51 was designed in this very spirit. A direct successor to the Outremer 49—the first model of the new Grand Large Yachting era—the 51 pushes the balance between build quality, system integration, and long-term ownership even further.

Many owners consider it the sweet spot of the range: large enough to provide true liveaboard comfort, yet still light, responsive, and efficient under sail.

Design and performances

Designed by Barreau / Neuman, internationally respected naval architects, the Outremer 51 stands out for her slender hulls, controlled displacement, and perfectly balanced sail plan. The result is a catamaran that is lively at the helm, predictable in demanding conditions, and deeply reassuring on long offshore passages.

TEIS – an exceptional Outremer 51

TEIS holds a special place in the model’s history. Built at the end of 2022 and launched in 2023, she is hull number 99 of only 101 units produced. She belongs to the very last generation—the 51 V2—incorporating numerous refinements resulting from years of real-world feedback from owners sailing around the globe.
TEIS was commissioned by highly experienced sailors with extensive offshore mileage and a strong background in high-performance sailing. Their input has made this one of the most complete Outremer 51s in terms of rig and sail inventory: optimized running rigging, furling staysail, furling genoa, gennaker, code zero and symmetrical spinnaker.

Delivered in La Grande-Motte, TEIS crossed the Atlantic to the Pacific, clearly demonstrating her balance, efficiency, and true bluewater DNA.

Interior Layout and Life Aboard

TEIS is configured in the three-cabin owner’s version, particularly well suited for long-term cruising. The owner’s suite is spacious and comfortable, complemented by two guest cabins. The interior volumes are generous, bright, and exceptionally well ventilated—designed for fluid, enjoyable life aboard over extended periods.
