Yomo is a Next 56, a performance blue water cruising monohull designed by Simonis Voogdt. She was built in New Zealand in composite Airex and epoxy resin, under the guidance of Bruno Trouble, Americas Cup helmsman and then director of this prestigious competition. The Next 56 is as good in regattas as in long distance sailing with a reduced crew: twin rudders, lifting keel (1.80m – 3 m), full hydraulic trimming for the rig, mast and boom in carbon, stays in ROD from 2019, running rigging in Dyneema, sails Hydranet, movable ballast, electric genoa furler…
The deck layout is designed for sailing and for comfort when at anchor: double wheel helm stations, rear platform lowers to water level, teak decks in perfect condition, all lines lead to the helm stations via tunnels to leave the cockpit free of clutter and a large dingy garage to free up the deck.
The interior has a spacious owners cabin forward, with ensuite bathroom. The 2 aft cabins are doubles and share a bathroom. The saloon is raised and the galley in long. The inside is fully air conditioned, there is solar power, 2 alternators, 840 amps or battery power in Lithium, 2 fridges and a freezer, a water maker. The Next 56 Yomo is prepared for a world cruise in full autonomy and comfort.
The construction quality is impressive: Airex mousse and epoxy resin vacuum infused, stringers and bulkheads glassed in, flooring in teak ply, inside fully painted so no headliners, windows in reinforced glass, tanks and engine centralized to limit pitching, high quality deck fittings and B&G electronics.
Yomo is an exceptional boat, made to take her next owner on a world cruise, in comfort and safely while making fast passages. The boat is equally well suited to lagoon sailing with lifting keel as it is to regatta sailing and will impress in anchorages as well as in regattas.
The maintenance is irreproachable: paintwork in Awlgrip, deck grip Kiwigrip, rigging 2019, batteries 2021, dingy 2021, very low engine hours. Yomo is available immediately in Noumea and is an opportunity for demanding sailor.
