Rare opportunity: Nautitech 44 Open, owner’s version, Smartroom layout, fully equipped for offshore cruising, built November 2022, one owner, never chartered.

Nam Phong is Nautitech 44 Open hull #10, laid out with the owner’s cabin and Smartroom to starboard and two guest cabins to port. She is exceptionally well equipped for long-distance voyaging and has proven herself both under sail — in terms of rig performance — and in comfort at sea. After crossing the Atlantic and cruising the Caribbean, the owners crossed the Pacific and explored French Polynesia. They have sailed roughly six months a year since launch in November 2022. While in the Caribbean, she was maintained by Neo Marine, the well-known Nautitech dealer specializing in bluewater cruising. We had the opportunity to inspect the boat in Panama in March 2026, then carried out a full survey on her arrival in Polynesia in mid-2026. She is now offered to new owners looking for a fast, comfortable, and seaworthy catamaran — already based in the Pacific and ready for long passages in full self-sufficiency.

With the 44 Open, Nautitech perfects its DNA: a seaworthy, fast catamaran for discerning owners who want to sail far. Hull hydrodynamics have been specifically refined to maximize speed on every point of sail. Chines add interior volume above the waterline, while the reverse bows reduce pitching and the fine entries ensure a good angle to windward. Twin aft helm stations deliver real sensation under sail, and the rig is tall and efficient. Nam Phong carries an excellent sail inventory: full-batten mainsail, self-tacking staysail, Delta Voiles Code D, and a Parasailor.

The interior design is innovative, clearly built for families and couples rather than the charter market. A central worktop is the natural gathering spot for plotting a course, checking the weather, or grabbing a coffee on watch, while the port-side settee offers a comfortable place to rest out of the weather. It faces the forward-facing chart table. To starboard, the sleek, functional galley opens directly onto the cockpit and its large table.
The starboard hull is reserved for the owners, with a spacious double cabin and the Smartroom — a concept pioneered by Nautitech and since adopted by Outremer and Excess for its suitability to long-range cruising. The Smartroom offers abundant stowage, a large top-loading freezer, and a washing machine. The port hull houses two double cabins, each with its own en-suite head.
