The Lagoon 380 remains a firm favourite for small cruising catamarans, and this one is a boat that’s been equipped over the years, to be perfectly set-up for cruising. Her owners bought her 1 year ago for a sabbatical in French Polynesia. Prior to this she had the same owners for 8 years and was cruised 6 months each year and dry stored in-between.
The boat is a rare owners version with owners hull, study and bathroom. The other hull has a double cabin aft and single cabin foreward with shared bathroom. Additionally, there is the drop down saloon for extra sleeping arrangements.
Then there is a hardtop bimini with clears and surround sunshades giving excellent rain protection. There are extra grab rails on the coach roof; the main halyard leads back to the cockpit (the winch has been removed from the mast and a tidy pulley installed) so there is little reason to leave the helming station when underway. The gennaker (blister sail) is on a furler, with another ingenious set-up. To avoid the need for dropping and storing when the sail is not in use there is a cover. To facilitate reconnecting the sheets where the tack would be too high for easy access, there is a line pre-setup with a loop into which aluminium snap shackles connect the sheets (our video shows this in more detail). For the outboard engine, there is a small derrick to hoist the outboard engine onto its stern rail support.
Added to all this there so many items of quality equipment it’s best to look in the inventory to see all, but for example watermaker; wind, solar and generator charge systems; 2x autopilots; 2x chart plotters; stainless steel anchors for the main anchor and dingy; portable freezer.
The comfort items have not been left out, with a large wooden easy chair for the cockpit, sun lounger mattresses and seats for the foredeck. There is a sunshade for the foredeck as well so with the cushions this makes is an additional lounging area even on hot days.
Tangaroa is in excellent condition for a Lagoon 380 of her generation. Contact for more details.
