Clovelly Class Fleet Tender – 1982
1982 Clovelly Class Fleet Tender, MEON was a Royal Maritime Auxiliary Service (RMAS) boat until 2020 when she was purchased by her current owner.
Fully maintained by the RMAS until she came out of service with the last full military servicing in 2018 for Lloyds certification. Hauled in Sete in France in 2021 and prepared for an ocean cruise including hull thickness measurements, regulation safety equipment, full repainting of topsides and underwater. In addition the owner has added a 160l/h water maker, 5m pro Zodiac with 70Hp engine and a big battery bank to avoid the need to run generators. General maintenance including crane servicing and electricity review.
MEON is equipped to carry 30T of cargo in 2 holds of 15m2 and 30m2 with a 5T crane. There is a forward technical hold with tools/parts and water maker following by cargo holds.
The afterdeck structure has the wheelhouse which overlooks the forward and aft decks with a 360deg view. Under the wheelhouse are the living areas with 2 cabins 1 bathroom and 1 toilet as well as saloon and galley.
The exceptional quality of the construction and the high level of maintenance means that this boat is ready to serve as a workboat or ocean cruising base. The current owner cruised from France in Oct 2021 and the boat will be available in Tahiti in April 2022. Equally, we can organise that MEON be delivered anywhere in the world.
The engine is a Blackstone MIRRLESS 320HP in impeccable condition, capable of cruising at 8.5kn for a consummation of 23l/h. With 11,000l of fuel storage on board, at cruise speed the boat has a range of 4000 nautical miles.
