The C&C Landfall 48 Pilothouse – Recalada is a well-maintained, proven blue-water vessel, rigged for short-handed sailing as a true cutter with fully battened mainsail, yankee and self-tacking staysail. US-built in Rhode Island, she is fast, comfortable and easy to sail by a cruising couple. Modern flush-mounted cast acrylic windows provide a 360° view from the pilothouse, with inside steering, engine and autopilot controls for comfortable and safe watches. Recalada is fully autonomous; equipped with Onan 5KW genset, wind, solar, a 1,000-amp hour house battery bank and 40-gallon per hour water maker for a comfortable life at anchor. When in a marina shore power is both 230V (Euro) and 110V (US).
The gourmet galley is equipped with a 4-burner gimballed stove, infrared oven, microwave and large double stainless sink. Provision for months with the stand-up SS cold plate fridge (7.6 cubic feet), rock solid SS cold plate freezer (3.6 cubic feet) and extensive cupboard and storage space. A utility closet provides easy access to the water maker, tool chest, full size trash and pantry shelves. All bunks and settees have new upholstery and foam. Clear cast acrylic hatch lenses and new portlights with cam closures for easy opening and closing provide maximum ventilation throughout the vessel.
Recalada has offshore grade ground tackle for confident anchoring. All machinery is easily accessible and she comes with a full complement of spare parts and hand tools for easy maintenance. The standing and running rigging are top quality – Vectran lines, Garhauer mainsheet track and adjustable fairleads and cockpit-controlled boom vang. She has a freshly painted bottom (January 2019) with 3 coats of Sherwin Williams Seaguard anti-fouling. The PYI dripless shaft seal was equipped with new bellows at that same time.
Recalada is located in Tahiti, French Polynesia, with import tax paid (Papeetized) – ready to cruise. Owner has purchased larger vessel.
