The Beneteau 50 designed by Bruce Farr is now a blue water cruising classic. It is well balanced under sail, with two helm stations to be easy to handle single-handed. It has a large furling genoa and a fully battened mainsail as well as a staysail on the lower forestay and an asymmetrical spinnaker. It is therefore easy to adapt the sail plan to the wind conditions. The electric winch can be used to facilitate maneuvers with a reduced crew, whether it is hoisting the mainsail or rolling the genoa. Finally, the Beneteau 50 Bilounine is equipped with a bow thruster which allows it to slip easily into the tightest berths.

Bilounine was equipped for the world tour by its owner who sailed from France to Polynesia always with crew members and always took care to keep each piece of equipment in good working order: :  The boat has just been refitted on the canopies. The entire rigging was replaced in 2020. Complete overhauls have been methodically carried out on the engine and generator.  The genoa was replaced in 2022, there are 2 Gennakers, a furling staysail, 1 jib and 1 jib and of course a mainsail in good condition. i.e. 6 headsails ! There is also a wind turbine, a watermaker and recent batteries. The 3.30m dinghy with an aluminum bottom dates from 2022.

Bilounine is absolutely ready to sail and is currently enjoying the Polynesian waters with her owner. This Beneteau 50 can stay on the territory taxes free for another 22 months.
