The Baltic 51 Venus is a C&C design and was built by Baltic Yachts in Finland for her launch in 1981. The Baltic 51 is known for its solid build quality and classic design. It is a big boat and designed to perform well under sail in all sea conditions as well as comfortably accommodate the crew.
Venus has already sailed the Patagonian canals as well as the tropics and does both well. The Baltic 51 has sleek lines and a powerful sail configuration making her a fast boat. You could happily imagine clocking up the miles up or down wind.
The Baltic 51 has a double cockpit: a central cockpit good for the crew to relax or for guests and a rear cockpit dedicated to the helm and manoeuvring the boat and sails. Between the two is the companion way down into the owner's suite. In front of rear cockpit are the instruments including chart plotter and autohelm and engine controls. The main companion way also has instruments repeating the necessary navigation information.
The interior is warm in the classic style. The chart table is on starboard on entry and on portside the galley and then a large saloon with space for 10-12 people comfortably. There is a double cabin forward with a private heads/bathroom. Aft of the main companion way is a large double cabin and two additional cabins with 2x bunks in each as well as another bathroom. One can enter the owner's suite from the saloon or by the companion way between the two cockpits.
This Baltic 51 has plenty of recent equipment including: Raymarine electronics, sails and rigging from 2015/2016, bimini from 2017, dingy from 2019 and the last anti-fouling dates from earlier this year 2020…
