Gimme Shelter is a sailboat specially designed by renowned naval architect Marc Lombard. She’s an Alezan 495 built at the CNAC Caraibes shipyard in 2009. Fully equipped and fitted out in 2012, this aluminum boat is a top performer in both offshore and inshore sailing. One of its many advantages is its lifting keel, which enables it to reach a minimum draught of 1.40 m in the high position, and thus to reach privileged anchorages. In the lowered position, the keel bulb descends to 3.20 m, enabling you to maintain the advantages of a keel boat and stay on course at speed.

The hull of this boat is made of sealium, an aluminum alloy that favors performance through its strength and lighter weight. The construction includes honeycomb bulkhead that permits to reduce overweight and increase performance.

The exterior cockpit is fully covered by a bimini, ideal for protection from the sun and rain. It is very user-friendly and spacious.

The interior is splendid and includes a very attractive wood pannel floor. Gimme Shelter offers an owner’s cabin with private bathroom. The two aft cabins  are also both double cabins. A second bathroom with toilet and shower is located on the starboard side of the companionway. The galley is spacious, well-designed and practical, with a gas stove, oven and fridge.

Access to all technical areas such as the keel hydraulic system, engine, watermaker or steering cylinders, for example, is practical and large.
