The Lavezzi 40 is one of Fountaine Pajot’s bestsellers for family cruising. The dynamic shape of the hulls, profiled hardtop bimini and good sail area give some decent performance, giving the Lavezzi 40 the edge over her competitors the Lagoon 380 or 410.
The cockpit and the saloon are well designed for cruising offering easy movement between spaces. The interior is light wood finished with good all around visibitliy, giving a sense of space to the boat. The cabins are provided with enough storage to make living on board easy.
Tamure has been set up for living on board by her current owner, who bought her in 2014. There is a new air conditioner. The floorboards have been replaced with bamboo and the work surfaces, hob and oven have been replaced with high quality appliances. There is a new freezer as well as an additional set of drawers under the saloon table. The anaesthetics in the cabins has been redone. The overall presentation of the boat is excellent.
The exterior is also kept up to the same standard as the interior, with the gelcoat, upholstery and sun shares in good condition. Tamure benefitted from the recall on the Lavezzi 40, meaning she was given an anti-osmosis treatment by the Fountain Pajot yard in 2014. The last engine maintenance was in March of 2019, the batteries and charger were replaced at the same time. The rigging is original and presents clean and the sails have been stored since 2015 – signs of a boat that hasn’t been overused. As a liveaboard the boat is fully customised. For cruising the running rigging, security material and electronics could be updated.
Perfect boat for a live aboard, and easy to get into good shape for long distance cruising.
